DIG for Saturday the 4th of March…..there are a lot more homeless then we actually realise…..Ephesians 1 v 5

In the Sunday service a number of people spoke out about the homeless.

This is of course a sad state with regards to how our society has developed, but I was led ton read Ephesians 1 v 5 at this time.

The thought came to me that those people who are not saved could also be called the “homeless”.

When we are born again we are instantly adopted into the family of God and we are made welcome into a new home with a new family.

You may be saying but we do not get this new home until we die and move to Heaven.

I would say we have a new home on the earth and that home is called church.

Now I am not talking about the building or institution, I am talking about the body of Christ, the people.

Once we believe and join the family of God we are also joined into the family of the church.

We in a sense have a new home amongst God’s people, His church.

People who are not born again are outside of this family and in this sense are homeless.

So in this context there are many more people who are homeless than we realise.

These people need to be told about this new home waiting for them and we are the people to tell them!

People need to hear the Gospel and be brought home!

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that I have been adopted into your family and been given a new home in your church”.

Ephesians 1 v 5…..Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will
