Most of you will know that I love my King James Bible; I appreciate the poetry of the language as I see it.
Repetition is another “tool” used in the Word; take Mark 5 v 42 for example.
After Jesus had raised a girl from the dead the people were “astonished with a great astonishment” (Mark 5 v 42).
This could have been the first time many people had seen Jesus operate in the miraculous so I can see why they were astonished.
But Jesus went on to do more miracles and these are documented for us.
Jesus also said we would do greater things then Him, i.e. we would do “the miraculous” ourselves.
So we should not be astonished, amazed or surprised when we see people healed and set free today.
This should be our normal everyday life; miracles should not amaze us.
“That is amazing” is not an appropriate thing to say when we see people delivered, set free or healed in a miraculous way.
If we do, in a sense we are saying this is not normal!
A miracle is just something that goes against the natural ways of the world, they are perfectly normal in a spiritual sense.
And we live in a world where there is a spiritual context, and in this context miracles are perfectly normal and not amazing!
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that through Jesus we have the authority to heal and through the Holy Spirit we have the power”.
Mark 5 v 42…..And straightaway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with great astonishment
