DIG for Sunday the 12th of March…..He does the same as the Father…..John 5 v 19

In church today the Lord told me not to preach my prepared sermon but told me to speak on Divine healing, so I think I’ll write a few DIGs on this subject as well!

But first I have to lay some “groundwork” to ensure we can all understand about divine healing.

In the Gospels (especially John) Jesus makes something very clear.

He says He can only do what He has seen His Father do (John 5 v 19).

He says that He has come in the name of His Father (John 5 v 43).

He says He came from Heaven not to do is will but only to do the will of His Father (John 6 v 38).

He said He did not have His own doctrine but that of His Father (John 7 v 16).

He said that if you know Him you would know the Father (John 8 v 19).

Jesus is clearly saying that He does the same things as His father, He has the same nature and as a result thinks and acts in the same way as the Father.

He is in fact the express image of the Father (Hebrews 1 v 3).

So from this we can say that if we want to know what God the Father will do we can look to the Gospels and see what Jesus did.

I hope you can see the logic and truth behind that last statement.

This is very important as it can help us answer a very important question, and that is does God provide divine healing?

More on this tomorrow!

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that we can see your will through the actions of Jesus”.

John 5 v 19…..Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say into you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise
