There is no more amazing sight than the sky at night!
I love just gazing up at the stars in awe and wonder; awe and wonder at the creative power of my God.
As a young man I used to believe (and I use that word deliberately) in the theory of the Big Bang, that all we see around us in the universe spontaneously appeared from nothing.
I say believe, as I now know that this is indeed a theory and not scientific fact as I used to say.
It takes faith to believe in both Creationism and the Big Bang, as neither can ever be proved scientifically.
I now believe in a Creator God, whose handywork is seen as I look at the stars in the night sky (Psalm 19 v 1).
I now think that it takes less faith to believe in this than in a theory that says everything came from nothing!
As I get older (and hopefully wiser) my faith in a Creator God is increasing; and it increases the more I learn about the science behind the Universe we live in.
This universe could never have come about by chance; there are too many things that point to an intelligence behind the laws of physics that govern everything.
God is real and we see His might and majesty e very time we look up into the night sky (if there are no clouds of course).
The stars, planets, comets and galaxies are the “fingerprints” of our Creator God; a loving God who created us as well as the universe around us.
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for the amazing Creation that you made for mankind, and thank you that you also created me”.
Psalm 19 v 1…..The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork
