DIG for Saturday the 1st of April…..don’t let His provision be lost…..John 6 v 12

We all know the account of Jesus feeding the five thousand, showing us the miraculous nature of the ministry of Jesus (John 6 v 1 to 14).

As I opened my Word at this account this morning one verse “jumped out” at me, John 6 v 12.

I then had the sad thought that so much of what Jesus has provided is lost and wasted on this world.

We are told that Jesus “came unto his own and his own received him not”; many, both then and now rejected what He had to provide (John 1 v 11).

I’ve seen a number of people “see” what Jesus has done with regards to healing for example, yet still reject Him.

In this account in the Word Jesus did not want the food He had provided go to waste, so He asked His disciples to deal with it.

In a similar way we have to show people what Jesus has done, we need to ensure his bountiful provision does not go to “waste”.

The provision has been made, reconciliation and forgiveness has been provided thus making salvation and righteousness a possibility.

However people have to choose or reject Jesus for themselves, in this sense I am saying Jesus’ provision can go to “waste” for many.

All men have been given the provision of salvation but every man requires to choose for himself.

It is our “job” to help others choose Jesus by telling them the good news about the Lord.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for the provision of reconciliation and forgiveness, and thank you the salvation and righteousness is available for every man to choose for himself”.

John 6 v 12…..When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost
