DIG for Sunday the 2nd of April…..Jesus provides it, but we “dish” it out…..John 6 v 11

I’ve been thinking about the account of the feeding of the five thousand again this morning.

There is so much to learn from this lesson; today I want to write about the role of the disciples.

Yes, it was Jesus who took the fish and bread and blessed it; He provided the “extra” food.

It was the work of Jesus that provided what was required.

However it was the disciples who handed out the food to the people.

It is similar with many facets of the Kingdom today.

Jesus has provided all the healing that will ever be required for all people.

However we, as His disciples, have been told to go out and heal the sick.

We are the ones who lay hands on the sick; we are the ones who speak out healing over people.

Just as Jesus delegated the feeding of the people to His disciples, He has also delegated much to us today.

It is not enough to sit in our homes and churches praying for people, we need to get out and be His disciples in this world.

Is there someone that you need to “dish” out Jesus’ provision to today?

In this world we are meant to be the “hands” and “mouth” of Jesus.

That is our role, showing Jesus to this needy world.

Speak this out today…..”Thank You Lord that because of the finished work of Jesus I can lay hands on the sick and see them healed”.

John 6 v 11…..And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would
