DIG for Monday the 17th of April…..we are as welcome to God as our granddaughters are to us…..Luke 23 v 45

In church this morning a dear sister was telling me about a visit she had received from her granddaughter.

She loved having her over, made her food and drinks, basically showered love on her and of course made sure she had some money when she left.

She loved her in her presence and just wanted to show her how much she loved her.

As she was telling me this she said she was thinking about her visit during the service and realised that this is what God thinks about us.

And she is correct!

God loves us, His children, coming into His presence.

He wants to give us good things; in face He has given us all we need and we can receive them through knowledge of Jesus (2 Peter 1 v 3).

God sent Jesus to pave the way for us to be forgiven and reconciled so that we could come into His presence.

The veil in the temple being torn is a picture of how we are able to come into His presence any time we want.

I have a study at home and although I go in there to work and get some privacy, the door is “always open” for my granddaughter Lydia.

No matter what I am doing I love her coming into my presence, and it is like that with God.

He wants us in His presence; He created us to be in His presence.

God is waiting for you today to spend some time with Him.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that I can boldly come into your presence and spend time with you whenever I want”.
