I just caught the end of some teaching on Facebook this evening, where a teacher from South African was talking about spiritual authority.
What caught my attention was a statement where he said, “we as born again believers have the greatest spiritual authority that there is”.
This made me think and I turned my Bible to the end of Matthew, where we see Jesus speaking to his disciples and therefore speaking to us.
He told them that he had all the power from heaven and earth (Mathew 28 v 18).
He also told his disciples that He would always be with them, even unto the end of the world (Matthew 28 v 20).
This means that His disciples also had this power and authority.
And the truth is that we also have this power an authority.
So the power and authority that we know Jesus had, now resides in each one of us.
Therefore we do indeed have the highest spiritual authority that there is, as on this earth we have the authority of Jesus.
When we speak out truth and pray in His name, we are actually praying instead of Him, in place of Him, with His power and authority.
When you say, “in the name of Jesus” you are actually speaking out in His place with His power and authority.
No sickness, no poverty, no demon can stand against that kind of authority.
Hallelujah!
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for the power and authority that now resides within me as a born again believer”.
Matthew 28 v 18 to 20…..And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen
