DIG for Sunday the 28th of May…..use your authority, no need to ask…..Matthew 16 v 18

In my DIG yesterday I wrote about a teaching I had seen online.

Well, I downloaded it and listened to the whole thing this afternoon and I am really excited.

The teacher gave the most amazing picture of authority and I want to share it with you today.

Many times when I prayed for healing in the past I would ask God to heal the person in front of me.

I realised however that the Word of God says we are not supposed to ask for healing, we lay hands on the sick and declare healing.

Now for the picture that is so exciting!

When a policeman stops you for speeding or for another a traffic violation, he does not call his boss and ask if it is OK to give you a ticket.

He has the authority from his superior officer, as he is a qualified policeman, fully trusted and able to use the authority on his own.

I’m sure his boss would think there was something wrong if the policemen kept phoning and asking if he could issue a ticket.

It is like that with healing in the Kingdom.

We are the ambassadors for Jesus on this earth and we have inherited His authority as sons of God.

We can use this authority without asking for permission!

We do not need to ask for healing, we simply use the power and authority we have been given and deal with the situation, just like the policemen giving us s fine!

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for the power and authority that we have inherited as your sons”.

Matthew 16 v 18…..They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover
