Yesterday we saw that there is no place for fear in the life of a believer, be this in the night or in the day.
The Psalmist continues with the same theme in the verses to come.
We are not to fear pestilence or destruction.
This means we should have no fear of disease or death, again in the dark or in the day, so at any time.
As I read this verse from the Old Testament I was reminded of a number of verses from the New Testament.
Jesus cam to bring us life in abundance, in other words a life free from pestilence and destruction (John 10 v 10).
Above all things Father God wants us to live in health and prosperity, in other words a life free from pestilence and destruction (3 John 2).
OK, we will suffer physical death in this world, however that is not to fear, as we no longer have the threat of spiritual death.
Jesus came so that as a gift of grace trough faith every man (if they choose) can live a life eternal (John 3 v 16).
As a believer we believe in life after death so we should be completely free of the fear of death.
And as Jesus dealt with all our sickness, pain and disease, we no longer need to fear pestilence.
Jesus has already provided healing and eternal life, as men we just need to choose and accept this gift.
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that above all things you want me to live in health and prosperity, free from all fear”.
Psalm 91 v 6…..Not for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday
