DIG for Monday the 24th of July…..I want you to have life and not just an existence…..John 10 v 10

As I was driving home from the airport this morning I really felt that I received a word from the Lord.

I was thinking about my life and how blessed I was, and the Lord said, “I want you to have life and not just an existence”.

It made me realise that my life is a blessing, and full of abundance, just as Jesus said it could be.

He came to bring us life in abundance (John 10 v 10).

Life is not meant to be day after day of drudgery, just getting by, just existing.

Life is for enjoyment, for fulfilment and yes, for pleasure.

My belief is that God was not just saying this for me this morning, but for all of you as well.

Jesus did not just want me to live life in abundance, but He wants it for all of us.

Jesus came for you as well as for everyone else.

Jesus has provided acceptance, adoption, healing and prosperity for you through His finished work.

Today I would urge you to take John 10 v 10 and make it your own.

I always finish my DIG by asking you to speak out a truth over your life; I really urge you to do that this morning.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that Jesus came to bring me life and life in abundance. I thank you that today, right now, I accept this abundant life; I take your acceptance, I take your adoption, I take your healing and I take your prosperity”.

John 10 v 10…..The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly

DIG for Sunday the 23rd of July…..what good can I do in the church…..John 6 v 9

When we think of the account of the feeding of the five thousand (or more like fifteen to twenty thousand if we count the women and children) we don’t often think of it as an individual encounter.

Yet before this miracle cold take place Jesus had an encounter (albeit brief) with a young lad.

The young lad had a limited amount of resources that in the eyes of the world was very, very little.

Yet in the eyes of the Lord it was enough to provide for many, many people.

This is an amazing picture of how the Lord can use our little resources and us.

We may have a desire to do things for the Lord and in His Kingdom, but many of us think we do not have enough resources or talents.

My friend, no matter what little you have the Lord can use it, and He can use it in a mighty way.

Whatever you have can be sued in the Kingdom to impact on the lives of others.

The very small amount of food belonging to the lad fed thousands of people.

Yes, Jesus blessed it and multiplied it, but this would not have happened if the young lad had not handed it over.

What have you got to hand over to the Lord this morning?

You may not think it is much, but through the Lord it can be very significant.

Your talents and resources, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, are very important for the Kingdom.

You have a part to play, no matter how small you think it may be.

Be encouraged this morning, and have the confidence to use your talents and resources through Jesus.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that I have a use in the Kingdom where my talents and resources will be used”.

John 6 v 9…..There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes; but what are they among so many?
