DIG for Wednesday the 2nd of August…..there is some knowledge we are never meant to know…..Acts 1 v 7

I’ve just put some music on Spotify that I noticed my son had been listening to; you cannot beat a bit of Johnny Cash now and again!

It was lovely to hear the song reminding me that Jesus is coming back again.

So when will Jesus be coming back again?

That my friend is a question we cannot answer and should not even attempt to answer.

That knowledge is not for us to know.

The Lord has provided us with power and authority (and therefore the knowledge required) over many things, such as healing and prosperity.

But in Acts 1 v 7 Jesus tells His disciples that it is no for us to know when He will come back again.

It is not Biblical to provide a time and date for the return of Jesus; how many times have men got it wrong in the past?

It is a waste of time and effort trying to work out something that Jesus said we are not meant to know.

We should be focusing on what we do know and what we can do.

In the next verse Jesus told us we would be filled with the Holy Spirit to allow us to witness to the world (the whole world) about Jesus; that is what we should be doing.

Don’t let yourself be entangled in the cunning craftiness of men trying to tell you when Jesus is coming back; that is a ploy of the enemy to keep you from focusing on the important things of the Kingdom.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for the power and authority you have given us in the world”.

Acts 1 v 7…..And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times of the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power
