DIG for Saturday the 9th of December…..Jesus is seen throughout the whole Bible…..Mark 1 v 1 and 2

For many people the Bible is a difficult book to understand, with many truths hidden from them.

Take many of the truths about Jesus for example.

Many people think that we read the Gospels to find out about Jesus, and this is true to a certain extent.

But the truth is that the whole Bible is about Jesus!

We can read about Jesus from Genesis through to Revelation.

At the beginning of Mark we read this statement, “As it is written in the prophets” (Mark 1 v 2).

The Gospel of Mark then goes on, of course, to tell us about Jesus.

So we can read about Jesus in the prophets, or in other words in a part of the Old Testament.

Jesus confirmed this truth after He had risen from the dead.

As He was walking on the road to Emmaus with a couple of the believers He told them about Himself as it was written in the Old Testament (Luke 24 v 27).

One of the great secrets of the Bible is that its entire contents are about Jesus!

Start reading the Bible today with an expectant heart, looking for truths about Jesus.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for your Word and thank you for the truths about Jesus held within”.

Mark 1 v 1 and 2…..The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee
