DIG for Saturday the 13th of January…..still relevant today…..Proverbs 17 v 22

As I lover and student of the Word of God I have often been asked what is so special about the Bible, asked why I still study the Bible today.

Surely the Bible (written thousands of years ago) is no longer relevant to us today people will tell me.

I (obviously) completely disagree with this assessment.

Science is now telling us that our spoken words have creative power to influence our lives; the Bible told us that a long time ago (Proverbs 18 v 21).

Science is now telling us that our thoughts have creative power over our physical bodies; the Bible said that a long time ago (Proverbs 23 v 7).

Science is now telling us that optimistic and happy people suffer less illness and disease than negative and pessimistic people; the Bible told us that a long time ago (Proverbs 17 v 22).

God’s Word is the truth and as such is as relevant today as it has always been.

Truth is truth, no matter when it was written, and truth is still truth even if thousands of years have passed.

We can be assured that the Bible is still a relevant part of our lives today.

We need to read, study and meditate upon the Word, upon the truth inspired by the Living God.

Please don’t let anyone tell you that the Bible is old, out of date and irrelevant; it is in fact quite the opposite.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that your Word is as relevant today as it was when it was original written”.

Proverbs 17 v 22…..A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones
