DIG for Friday the 3rd of April…..who do we listen to, the media or the Word…..1 Peter 2 v 24

As I was driving into a supermarket car park yesterday there was a debate on the radio talk show about hay fever.

I used to suffer from this quite badly but have been relatively free of it for a couple of years now.

Well, as I listened to the debate I felt a sneeze coming on; I rebuked it in the name of Jesus and it went away.

So I did my shopping and jumped back in the car; and as I drove away the debate was still on the radio and before I knew what had happened I had sneezed.

Now you may this is pure coincidence but I do not believe that.

The Word says as a man thinketh so is he (Proverbs 23 v 7) and death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18 v 21), and we are heavily influence by how we think, and therefore what we say, by what we take into our minds.

We are influenced by what we see, read and hear, including talk show debates on the radio.

We are surrounded by doubt and unbelief, with the media being full of this.

The only certain truth we can be sure of is to be found in the Word of God.

The media says 26% of us will suffer from hay fever, yet the Word of God says we have all been healed by the finished work of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 53 v 4 and5 and 1 Peter 2 v 24).

Who do we listen to and what do we believe?

Yesterday for me it was the media that I let influence my thoughts!

Today let all of us be influenced by the Word of God.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for your Word, your inspired Word that can be used as the agent of change in our lives”.

1 Peter 2 v 24…..Who his won self bare our sins in his won body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed
