Someone read out the start of Psalm 96 in church the other day and I was struck by what it said in verse 3.
As I was reading the verse to myself I was thinking about wonders to all the people, and God said, “Yes, including those of faith”.
What He was saying was that many in the church today do not believe in all the wonders that He does or indeed has done.
Through the finished work of Jesus the Lord has provided healing, yet many believers do not believe in this.
Through the finished work of Jesus the Lord has provided prosperity, yet many believers do not believe in this.
In Psalm 103 we are told not to forget all his benefits; and if we read verses 3 to 5 in this Psalm we can see that this includes healing and abundance.
God has provided us with more than a ticket into Heaven; He has provided healing and abundance through the finished work of Jesus and those of faith need to be told this, we need to declare it to them.
Too many in the church feel that poverty is the way we should be living.
Too many in the church think that God the Father uses illness and sickness to make us “better people”,
This is nonsense and it is unbiblical, we just need to look at the example of Jesus (who was the express image of the Father) to see this.
We must not forget all that He has done for us, and this includes healing and prosperity, even if some in the church speak out against this.
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that through the finished work of Jesus Christ you have provided healing and prosperity for me”.
Psalm 96 v 3…..Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people
