DIG for Tuesday the 14th of July…..a picture of how the Kingdom operates as well as a picture of abundance…..John 6 v 11

The account of Jesus “feeding the five thousand” is a famous Bible story providing us with a picture of the abundance that is in Jesus.

It also gives us a great picture of how the Kingdom operates.

Many Christians “sit back” in their walk expecting God to sovereignly operate on their behalf and for others; this is not how the Kingdom operates under the New Covenant.

In John 6 v 11 we see Jesus giving to the disciples who then give to the people.

This is a picture of Kingdom ways.

Jesus gave everything we need as a gift of grace through faith (Ephesians 1 v 3 and 2 Peter 1 v 3).

We then give to others on His behalf, as we are His agents of operation on this earth.

As He sent out His disciples in the Gospels He now sends us out in the earth today.

We take what He has given us and show others and tell others so that they can receive the same.

Another important point in John 6 v 11 is that the people took however much fish they wanted.

Today people have free choice to take as little or as much of what Jesus has to offer them.

Many reject His healing and His abundance, wonderful gifts that He provided for all of us at the atonement.

Unfortunately many others reject Jesus and everything He has, but that is their right under free will.

Take as much as you can from Jesus this morning, He wants you to have it all.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for all that you have provided through the finished work of Jesus Christ”.

John 6 v 11…..And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would
