As most of you probably know I love mathematics and science, having studied both at university level.
I find no problem reconciling what I see in science with my faith; the more I learn about science actually the more I am pointed to an intelligent Creator God.
Watching a science program on the internet today really made me laugh.
The assumptions being made were incredible, pointing to the theory of evolution as the ‘designer’ of you and me, stating their theories as indisputable facts.
Statements like “you are just chemistry” and “this young restless planet is your creator” made me laugh out loud.
Psalm 14 v 1 and Psalm 53 v 1 came to mind; go ahead and look them up!
Nothing in the theory of evolution or chemistry can explain consciousness; your ability to be self aware and think.
Yes, you are really just a bag of chemicals reacting away, however you have that ‘spark’, that something extra that science simply cannot explain.
The Bible however can explain it!
You are made up of chemicals, the dust of the earth, but you have that something extra; you are a living soul through the breath of life from a loving God (Genesis 2 v 7).
In a sense the program was partly correct; you were created from the elements of this planet, however it was the Lord God that created you not this planet!
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that I am the pinnacle of your creation, thank you for creating me”.
