I was listening to some marvellous teaching today about the importance of identify, that we need to know our identity and how it changed when we were born again.
We went from bondage into freedom, from slaves to sons of God.
We went from poverty (spiritual and material) into riches, into an abundant life.
We went from sickness to healing and wholeness.
We went from rejection to acceptance.
We were sinners but now we are saints.
We went from being estranged from God to citizens of Heaven.
We were once spiritually dead but are now alive.
We went from being lost to being saved.
We went from being alienate from God to being accepted and made righteous.
All this, and more, came about because we went from being without Christ to being in Christ.
There are many verses in the Word that talk about being in Christ, this is our true identify.
When we were born again the old us died and we were created new, our new spirit was created in righteousness and true holiness (2 Corinthians 5 v 17 and Ephesians 4 v 24).
Speak this out today…..”Thank you for all the great things you made me as a gift of grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus”.
2 Corinthians 5 v 17…..Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new
